QUESTIONS ABOUT EL JUEGO

WHAT IS PLAYING?

“El Juego” means “The Game” inspired by the Hindu idea of “Lila”, the divine creative play of life.
When we speak about playing we mean the exploration of the dynamics, conflicts and challenges in our lives and how we can understand and resolve them as a reflection of internal conflicts by making the projections and ancestral traumas visible and resolve them.

WHAT ARE DOORS?

Drawing inspiration from various psychotherapeutic techniques and spiritual traditions, we experiment with the difficulties that arise in community life. In this way, we create new methods that we call Doors. Through them we find and transform the structure and the origin of both individual and collective conflicts.

Find more info about the different types of Doors here.

WHAT IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE OF THE EVENT?

With El Juego you will enter a dynamic space where everything that happens will be in constant response to the collective’s and the individuals’ needs. With the intention that everyone wants to be seen, heard and felt, no matter how much time it takes. Therefore we cannot and do not want to fit this into a pre-designed schedule. Instead we invite you to a space where five hours can feel like one, where we prioritise closing a process over watching the time, where the human experience is always the focus…
However, to give an example, a typical play day might look like a combination of group sessions or circles, beginning after breakfast with a break for lunch and playing into the evening.

*These “schedules” are a suggestion or an invitation, with El Juego there is a flexibility in everything and maybe this is exactly the learning here, for each one to find and follow their flow & their needs.
E.g. You have a work meeting that you can’t miss on one of the days dedicated to playing. No problem, we will explore solutions for this as a group while also investigating, which discomforts this might bring up for you.
